Can't Help with Clean Up...I'll be too tired.

Getting in the holiday mood, my children have been asking to bake Snickerdoodle cookies for days! Today was the day to get out all the flour, sugar, vanilla, baking soda, cream of tartar, eggs and whatever else goes in that recipe.

We make a mess of the table, because EVERYONE knows you can't have a 3 year old and a 7 year old help without making a mess. But, we bake nearly 50 cookies! Some we ate, of course. Some we will give away. Some will be frozen for when Santa comes.

After the last batch went into the oven, the kids both said they wanted to go do something else. I said to them both:

"Sure! As soon as we get everything cleaned up."

Without batting an eye, the 3 year old said, and I quote:

"I'm going to be too tired to help clean up, daddy."
