Tomorrow marks a milestone in my retirement: 100 days!
So, to commemorate the moment, I had to think of something fun.
Then it hit me! Since we don't have any big trees on our property for raking and jumping into piles, I decided to 'borrow' some from the neighbors. But, the tallest tree in our neighborhood is about 8 feet tall. That family didn't even rake their leaves!
So, I went to neighbors beyond our neighborhood and took some of the bags of leaves from their 'piles' to create one of our own. The boys rode their bicycles through the pile, raked it back up again, rode through again, raked it back up, jumped in it, raked it back up, jumped in it some more, raked it back up...WHEW! It was WONDERFUL watching them play!
My wife summed it up best: I can't believe it. For the first time in our lives, we purposely wanted leaves in our yard!
Maybe so, but BOY! We had FUN!
