Horsing Around

Day 177

I am such a good dad.

I don't normally spring for such extravagant activities, but I decided it was time to take my 18 month on a real animal adventure! After all, I'm home all day with him while his brothers are at school. And, he loves animals. He's not scared of anything on two or four legs.

Any time an animal is near, he points and wants to get closer...as if he is the 'animal whisperer' or something. It doesn't matter if its a bird, dog, cat, cow, lizard, turtle, snake...the kids is attracted to ALL animals!

I've been watching Groupon for a while, looking for coupons having to do with animals. We don't have any pets ourselves, so  none of the Groupons for pet care really matter to us. But I did see a horse-riding Groupon before Christmas and bought one for my brother.

It was so much fun, I decided to take our youngest horseback riding as well.

I figured, might as well start young so that he gains respect for the beast instead of innocent trust.
