Like this morning. My son needed some help getting his jacket down from the coat hook. I walked over to help him. In the process, there was a little tickling and some dad time, but like 2 minutes, MAX! I got him his coat and helped him put it on. Then as I sent him out the door and then turned back to the table where my 2 year old HAD been, that's when I saw it.
I'm not sure what neuron fired in his brain and impressed him to open a drawer. I'm not sure what inspired the thought to pull out the roll of stamps. And I'm still questioning what made him think that decorating the Lego house with stamps would be a good idea. But it happened.
As I run across the living room, leaving my slippers behind, nearly tripping over the scooter and big wheel that remain inside since Christmas, I realize it's a moment in time. And, it doesn't last forever. And, it might have cost $2 or so. And, I can't really be angry. He's just 2.
But that doesn't stop me from telling him that the stamps aren't for Legos. Postage Anyone?
